Catonsville Man Bags $193,000 At WSOP

Catonsville man Andrew Brokos has fulfilled a dream which many poker players will never even get close to, he was second top in the WSOP 2008 main event and at one stage he looked odds on for a final table place. While it all went a little stray on the second last day of the pre-final stages he has walked away with a prize pot of some $193,000 after finishing 35th. However, it seems that Brokos may have lost the dream when he started to believe it!<br /> <br /> Andrew Brokos has been commenting about his stint at the main event and while he was second going into the second last day, he admits that his mind started to wander towards the final table and the riches which await there. This seems to have given many of his opponents the chance to take advantage of this possible lapse and push him down the leader board. Slowly the fall from grace began to pickup pace and soon Andrew Brokos was in trouble, finally battling back to grab 35th out of literally thousands of players – no easy task in anyone’s book.<br /> <br /> The adventures of Andrew Brokos are what WSOP dreams are made of but also show cruelly they can be cut short in their prime!
