PaddyPower Release Prices for WSOP Main Event Final Table

Well, none of us made it to the final table of the Main Event – frankly, we suck at poker. Still, we can win money by betting on the eventual winner from the ‘November Nine’, with Irish betting firm Paddy Power having set up a market on the 2008 Champion.

It won’t be too surprising to hear that the chip leader heading to the final table is the bookies’ favourite. Dennis Phillips, who has 26,295,000 in chips, is the joint 4/1 favourite with Ivan Demidov, who is about 2 million chips behind. Outsider is the short stack Kelly Kim, who can be backed at 50/1 if you think he can work the shortie up from 2.62 million.

We’re undecided who we’re going to have our couple of pounds on, although Scott Montgomery looked impressive in the last day or two, working his stack up to a solid 19.69 million for third place in chips. Should either of the two favourites have a mishap in the early stages of the final table, this could open the door for the young talent to sneak through and claim the bracelet.
