Online Poker Site Venturing Into Facebook

PokerRoom.com, one of the Internet’s largest poker sites, has announced that its new DareDevil application will tap into the social networking scene by offering Facebook members the opportunity to learn and master the game. DareDevil is a poker-based card game that sees players compete against the clock in creating the best possible hand by discarding and drawing cards. When the one-minute timeframe expires, players are awarded points based on the cards remaining in their hands. 'We are excited to be expanding PokerRoom.com into the world of social networking', said Hendrik Knopp, Spokesperson for PokerRoom.com. 'DareDevil offers players the chance to improve their game and refine their strategy while connecting with friends.' DareDevil allows players to challenge their friends on Facebook and keep track of scores in real time. During the game, players must reach a required score for that level before time expires in order to advance to the next in order to work towards having one of the all-time top scores.
