EPT London Details Annnounced

The European Poker Tour has worked its way as far as the English capital, with the London league promising a first prize of �1 million. One of the biggest events on the British poker calendar, the event will run from 1st – 5th October in the Victoria Casino, capable of hosting up to 500 players. The event should provide an eclectic mix of experienced live players and online qualifiers, with PokerStars hoping to send more than 150 online players. The �1,000,000 first prize will almost double the �611,520 won by Joseph Mouawad last year. John Duthie, the founder of the European Poker Tour, is anticipating the London leg to be another classic tournament. “The PokerStars.com London EPT is like no other event in the sporting calendar, it brings together world champions, the best British and European professionals, as well as talented amateurs and online qualifiers to compete for one of poker’s biggest prizes.” Satellites to the tournament begin on 4th August, with players able to qualify for as little as $2.22.
