Kim not fazed by WSOP attention

Kelly Kim, one of the players known as the November Nine who will sit at the final table of the World Series of Poker, has stated that he is not fazed by the attention his position attracts.

The 31-year-old, who fought his way through 6,844 other competitors vying for the $9.1 million top prize, will be the subject of close media scrutiny as he plays for the life-changing prize money, reports the Whittier Daily News.

However, Kim remains confident that his game will not be compromised by the high profile of the event.

He stated: "The game is still the same … no matter how many people are watching."

Despite this, if Kim's confidence is misplaced, he still stands to take home a minimum of $900,000 in the autumn.

The Californian is currently short stacked with only 2,620,000 chips, almost eight million less than Craig Marquis, who is eighth in the standings.
