Al Turk "a dab hand" at poker

As the British Cage Rage heavyweight champion, Mustapha Al Turk knows how to handle himself in a fight.

But now it has been revealed that he can also hold his own on a poker table, with Ross Davies of the Guardian telling This Is London readers of how he played against the 6 ft 2 in behemoth in a tournament in Walthamstow.

The Most Dangers Poker Tournament in the World took place at the Equal Chance club, where Al Turk - "a dab hand" - is a regular. A £100 bounty was put on his head, with 70 players all looking to take the scalp.

UFC light-heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin is another mixed-martial artist with a known penchant for poker.

Griffin attended the World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event in Last Vegas this year just one day after a bruising encounter against Quinton Jackson.

During play, ten-time WSOP bracelet holder Johnny Chan gave him advice on how to play a full house.
