GigaMedia To Offer Sportsbetting

A large amount of speculation has surfaced this week alleging that online poker site EverestPoker.com could be about to launch its own sportsbetting sub-site. Asian firm GigaMedia Limited owns EverestPoker.com and numerous sites have quoted Chief Executive Officer Arthur Wang as stating that this would be the first step in broadening the online poker site’s gambling offerings. In addition, the Taipei-based firm is alleged to have already signed a deal with an ‘established sportsbetting company’ but have, so far, declined to go any further.
