Yevgeniy Timoshenko Grabs The Latest Leg Of The APT

As the Olympic Games were coming to a close life just got a whole lot better for Yevgeniy Timoshenko, the Ukrainian poker star of the Asian Poker Tour (APT). He stepped up to the mark on the Macau leg of APT and managed to bag himself a very impressive $500,000 windfall. <br /> <br /> In what many are claiming was the toughest leg of the APT so far we also saw Joon Hee Yeah from South Korea claim second prize and $250,000 while Thailand’s Rober Karlian was not disgraced with third place and a $126,000 drop. This leg of the APT also saw WSOP multi bracelet winner Doyle Brunson take to the floor together with Johnny Chan, David ‘Chino’ Rheems (who will be at the forthcoming WSOP final table) and APT champion David Saab. A mean mix of players if ever there was one!<br /> <br /> The APT is now taking the Asian market by storm after something of a slow start. Players are flocking to the event and numbers and the quality of the opposition are on the up and up. The vastly improved prize fund also seems to be doing the trick with the APT now seen as second only behind the untouchable WSOP tournament.
