Would you be happy to give up a cut of your winnings?

As we covered on the previous post it seems as though there is a growing movement in the hedge fund sector towards setting up a massive central poker pool which would be used to fund players in exchange for a slice of their winnings. But would you be willing to give up some of your winnings for the funding to get you into large tournaments?

This is a very tricky question but one which we believe many players will be facing over the next few years. This is not a sponsorship type deal, this is a pure play on the ability of players to win money and increase the returns for their backers.

There are many would be great poker players out there who are made to play the big tournaments, bag the big prizes and walk tall in a sector where the best have massive egos. If you knew you were good enough would you be prepared to wait and save up your own money for the big entrance fees? Would you be willing to play only a small number of the large tournaments even if someone was willing to back you?
