Sisal Joins Playtech Poker Network

Isle of Man-based online casino turnkey provider Playtech Limited has announced its third licensing agreement for Italy with land-based and virtual gaming firm Sisal SpA. This deal follows earlier agreements with Gala Coral Group’s Eurobet Italia and online sportsbook operator SNAI SpA and will see London-listed Playtech provide Sisal with its full portfolio of poker games in tournament form. Currently, the software is downloadable in a ‘play for fun’ mode providing players with the opportunity to improve strategies and hone their skills but a ‘play for cash' mode is expected to launch before the end of the year. ”We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Sisal, who joins SNAI and Gala Coral's Eurobet Italia on Playtech's quickly expanding Italian poker network,” said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer for Playtech. “It is clear that the Italian ipoker network is gaining an even more prominent position in the Italian market with the group becoming a significant player. “Playtech plans to work with Sisal and other operators to provide an exciting gaming experience for Italian players and capture an even stronger market share.' Both parties have committed to meeting all Italian regulatory standards and the product has been designed to appeal to the tastes of Italian players and meet local market requirements including the appropriate language and currency. In addition, Playtech stated that the product has been fully integrated with Sisal's systems in order to ensure a seamless gaming experience. 'Sisal has launched Sisal poker online and it was a great pleasure to come to an agreement with Playtech to implement this project,” said Francesco Tiso, Chief Financial Officer for Sisal. “Playtech has a reputation as a high quality and efficient partner and we believe Sisal's online poker will contribute to that reputation, providing security and fun for the benefit of our players.'
