Big names at London poker event

Various big names in the poker world are currently in London for the next leg of this season's European Poker Tour (EPT).

John Phan and Victoria Coren are among the stars on show at London's Grosvenor Victoria Casino this week.

Fellow famous faces from the card gaming fraternity Chris Ferguson and Joe Beevers are also involved.

Indeed, a number of the EPT participants are those who were eliminated from the World Series of Poker Europe earlier this week.

Around £1 million in prize money is on offer to the winner, and the level of the reward may be one of the reasons organisers expect a record number of players to take their seats at the table in England's capital city.

Season five of the EPT got underway in Barcelona last month, with players from the online poker world and a traditional background in the game taking part.
