Poker Players Alliance issues a Congressional Guide

In a move aimed at increasing the pressure on US politicians to support the ongoing quest to have poker reclassified as a game of skill and therefore reintroduced back into society in the form of online poker, the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has issued a guide covering members of Congress. Rather than forcing PPA members to look at each an every poker related voting record they can simply look up the Congress members name and they will see a rating.

The rating relates to the members support or non-support of the poker campaign and allows people to see if their local representative is good to their word. As we approach a new round of elections in the US, when the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate are up for grabs, this move could add some interesting spice to the mix.

More and more members of Congress have come out in support of poker of late but many have chequered pasts when you consider their voting record on the issue. It will be interesting to see their stance in the coming days and whether they actually vote as you might expect in the future.
