Austin Healy drops a poker bombshell

Strictly Come Dancing star Austin Healey has revealed his difficult past on the poker tables with news that he lost around £15,000 after the game literally took over his life. The ex-England rugby player had been struggling to find something to fill the void left when his rugby career ended and seems to have stumbled upon online poker by chance. Then his troubles began.... Healey is the first to admit that he has an addictive nature and that he gave up precious time with his family to play online poker. However, he has finally closed down all of his poker accounts, paid up the £15,000 he owed and moved onto something new... but can you guess what? Despite having his fingers burnt during his short spell on the online poker tables he has now moved onto spread betting which is one of the most high risk pastimes you could ever come across. Short term punts on investment market and commodities can make or break you although Austin Healy feels this is progress! The moral of the story is that you should be very carful when playing online poker and other forms of gambling, ensuring that you stick within your means. Austin Healy let things slip away from him but he is one of a surprisingly low number who find trouble on the poker tables.
