The greatest poker game of them all - the US presidential elections

This evening sees 220 million US citizens voting on the next president with Obama apparently well ahead in the polls as McCain suffers from concerns about his age. These next few hours will be essential for the future of both Obama and McCain who at 70 years old has attracted a feeling that this is the last shout for the elder statesman.

We have seen the election in the US move like a poker game with the McCain camp taking a very strong early lead only to see the new kid on the block Obama fightback after his epic battle with Hillary Clinton to take his party's nomination. George Bush's days are numbered in the White House and while few will cry many tears, would you want to be in the shoes of either Obama or McCain in the current economic climate?

As we touched on yesterday the poker community has been very vocal in its support for McCain so far but with Obama more likely to win the public vote this evening it looks as though he will come under major pressure to lift the online poker ban which has installed a couple of years ago. So does Obama or McCain hold all of the aces?
