Do we have the first poker playing president since Richard Nixon?

Rumours are rife that Barrack Obama, the newly elected president of the United States of America, of will be the first poker playing president since Richard Nixon back in 1968. This is an interesting development as during the residential campaign it was his rival McCain who was seen by many as a potential ally of the online poker movement.<br /> <br /> It now turns out that Barrack Obama also enjoys playing poker and this is something which many online poker players hope will assist them in their bid to have the online poker ban lifted in the US. While the authorities would argue that online poker is not the illegal, which is correct, it is illegal to finance online gambling using credit cards which are easily the most obvious form of finance.<br /> <br /> Now that the presidential election is over we will see a serious shift in the lobbying activities of the various associations such as the Poker Players Alliance, although there is debate as to whether we will see any immediate changes in the law. It has to be said that during the presidential election Barrack Obama played the best poker face ever seen when you consider he was well behind McCain in the polls just prior to his party confirmation.
