Gone but not forgotten WSOP 2008

While the main table of WSOP 2008 may be over this is a tournament which has pushed the industry further and further up the gaming ladder. As many economies and industries around the world continue to falter, including a number of casinos, the poker industry continues to go from strength to strength. This year's $9 million pay cheque awarded to Peter Eastgate is one of the largest in the history of the game, a game which is set to go from strength to strength.

So what were your best bits from WSOP 2008? Will you be watching the final main table on the TV?

There have been so many highs and lows in this year's tournament and a number of new and potentially exciting faces have risen from the depths of the poker industry. Peter Eastgate is now officially the youngest ever WSOP main table champion and if history is anything to go by this should be the very start of his road to fame and fortune.

Now that 2008 is at an end many will now be looking towards WSOP 2009 where the fun will begin again and all entrants will start as equals. As the say in the lottery industry, "It could be you!".

Well, we can all dream!
