Online Poker Pro Takes Down FTOPS X Event

Poker pros continued the ‘year of the pro’ in Full Tilt Poker’s renowned FTOPS tournament series, securing deep runs and high prizes. Cliff Josephy, better known to his high-stakes online peers as JohnnyBax, took down a tough field of 1,025 to win the Omaha Eight-or-Better event and his share of a $205,000 prize pool. A difficult final table included British pro and WSOP bracelet-winner Ram Vaswani. In other events, the No-Limit Hold ‘em 6-max event created a $1.13m prize pool between the 1,032 players who signed up. David Pham took a hefty slice of that by finishing in third place, while other cashing pros included Chip Jett and Clonie Gowen. The winners from Tuesday were losebigpots in Event 12, the $200+$16 HA; LaTanyaWilliams in Event 13, $500+$35 H.O.R.S.E.; and imabigkidnow in Event 14, $200+$26 No-Limit Hold ‘em Turbo.
