Entraction Goes South

Swedish online poker network provider Entraction Holding AB has announced the opening of a local office in Madrid to meet the strong demand for its products in southern Europe. Solna-based Entraction stated that the gaming market in Spain and France is expected to grow by 17 percent over the next year and 21 percent annually in Italy until 2012. It stated that Madrid was a natural choice due to its many existing and potential partners already in Spain. In order to meet the demands of any new clients, Entraction has announced that Missael Lundqvist, who formerly worked as the Sales Executive for Southern Europe for the Swedish Trade Council in Madrid, has been recruited to head its Spanish office. Fluent in Spanish, Lundqvist will focus on finalising agreements in ongoing discussions with potential partners in Spain as well as finding new business opportunities in Spain, France and Italy. 'The establishment in Spain is a cost efficient way to reach new customers and tie existing customers closer to Entraction as well as a step in our strategy to grow in new markets,” said Peter Astrom, Chief Executive Officer for Entraction. “We have a fantastic development in southern Europe but we see potential for increased growth by local presence. The proximity to Gibraltar, which is a hub in the gaming world, is also a clear advantage.”
