Barack Obama the King of poker!

News that incoming president Barrack Obama is a keen poker player has caught the attention of the whole online poker and off-line poker world. As we see the off-line casino industry collapsing in the US there are hopes that the new president may well offer some kind of financial incentive or stimulus to the industry to avert a full collapse. There are also high hopes that president Obama will also take a long hard look at the current regulations which effectively ban online poker and online casino sites from the US.<br /> <br /> On a more personal note those who have played poker with Obama suggest that he puts his winning streaks down to skill and his losing streaks down to bad luck, something which each and every online and off-line poker player will appreciate!<br /> <br /> The fact that poker is so popular in the US was another reason why so many people around the world were so surprised at the online ban which robbed many people in the country the chance to play poker in their homes. However, the recent court case involving Partypoker and the authorities has heightened speculation that a deal between the government and the online poker sites could be on the cards.
