A profile of Bobby Baldwin

Bobby Baldwin was born in 1950 and is not only a professional poker player but a casino executive with the Golden Nugget Casino. He also has a variety of other positions in the industry having made his way from the bottom to the very top of the Steve Wynn empire. Bobby Baldwin is famed for not only being the youngest winner of the World Series of Poker event when he won in 1978 (only to be superseded by Stu Ungar, Phil Hellmuth and Peter Eastgate this year) but he also had the joint highest winning hand with a pair of Queens.<br /> <br /> As with so many poker players from the earlier era he was one of the world's best billiards players and somehow managed to incorporate this with his poker career. He has taken a total of four World Series of Poker bracelets with $44,000 in 1977, $80,000 in 1977, $210,000 in 1978 and $90,000 in 1979. To date his total live tournament wins total in excess of $800,000 although when you take into account his poker industry income from the business arena he is well into the millions of dollars!<br /> <br /> Bobby Baldwin is someone who was taken poker and gambling to his heart and literally made a career on both sides of the poker table.
