Do you prefer online or off-line poker?

In general the poker industry has shown significant growth over the last decade despite the online ban in the US. While online poker continues to grab the headlines there is still significant interest in off-line poker both tournament events and "friendly" games. However, figures of late have shown a significant switch between the off-line and online market with the online market benefiting substantially from this trend. But what do you prefer, online or off-line poker?

There are many issues to consider when looking at online and off-line poker as many people prefer to sit opposite their competitors in order to gauge their game play, scare them and use their poker faces. This is not always possible in the online arena although there are benefits regarding online poker as some players get nervous in large crowds and can feel quite intimidated by some players.

It really does depend upon the type of player you are, the type of games you like and perhaps ultimately when you want to play your next poker game. The chances are if you want a game any time of the day or night there will be an online poker tournament on going whereas off-line games tend to be arranged in advance and these plans can often change. As they say in horse racing, horses for courses!
