Small pots of big pots the decision is yours!

As online poker becomes ever more popular we are seeing the emergence of a number of different strategies and playing styles. While it is often the big players who go for the big pots and grab the attention of the masses, more and more poker players seem happy to bag smaller ports on a more regular basis. So which strategy is the more profitable, small pots or big pots?

While much will depend upon the experience and nerve of any individual poker player there is no doubt that those who win the big pots are the ones who take home the big bucks. However, behind every winner of a big pot are a significant number of large losers who could literally have been wiped out of the game. There is no right and wrong answer to the above question and it really comes down to how comfortable each player is to go for the small pots or to go for large ones.

Those possibly learning the game may tend to drop out too soon when the big money is on the table preferring to go for smaller takings to increase their stack. Knowing when to play a hand, know when to fold and knowing when to bluff are vital elements of any poker player’s arsenal, however these are skills which will be learnt over time and not overnight.
