Gibraltar-based online poker and casino operator 32Red has become the first tenant on Gem Island, a three-dimensional interactive leisure, gaming and betting portal available through GemIsland.com.
Gem Island was founded by entrepreneur Mark Campbell, who is best known to the gaming industry as the founder of fixed-odds virtual sportsbetting firm Gextech and as Chief Information Officer for the €20 billion Gran Scala leisure city in Spain.
“We are excited about the imminent launch of our casino on Gem Island,” said Mark Quayle, Head of Marketing for 32Red.
“We believe that securing space for a virtual casino presence on Gem Island will prove a success for everyone involved.”
Campbell stated that 32Red represents an ideal business partner and one that will make a major contribution to the site, which also features a virtual horse racing course, an F1 circuit and a football stadium.
