Chartwell Licenses Multiple Games

Remote gaming software provider Chartwell Technology Incorporated has signed two licensing agreements for a range of games that it will be adding to its large suite of titles. The Canadian firm specialises in the development of leading edge gaming applications and entertainment content for the Internet and other remote access devices and revealed that the two deals represent the first of many it is hoping to sign over the coming months. The first agreement is with Paramount Digital Entertainment International, a division of Paramount Pictures, and will see Chartwell develop online games based on two catalogue films from the studio’s library. Calgary-based Chartwell revealed that game development is already underway and that it is excited by the prospect of bringing these entertainment brands to its licensees for distribution to the online gaming world. A second deal has seen Chartwell license the online rights to Texas Hold’Em Bonus Poker and Progressive Blackjack from UK firm Progressive Games Partners. Chartwell stated that the titles are proven casino table games offering high entertainment value and that it is also considering additional games. “These agreements reflect our commitment to delivering a much expanded and diversified product line to our customers”, said Darold Parken, President and Chief Executive Officer for Chartwell. “For Chartwell, 2009 is all about a tremendously expanded product suite, much more comprehensive service capabilities and the rollout of our most significant software release ever.”
