Queens Of Heart To Join WSOP

The Queens Of Heart poker team has announced that it is to join the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) and increase the charity component of the world’s largest professional poker tournament. The team consists of professional female poker players and celebrities such as Jennifer Tilly, Linda Johnson and Kristy Gazes and regularly donates a percentage of its winnings to charity. “I am proud that the Queens Of Heart is a part of the history, tradition and the future of the WSOP,” said Lisa Tenner, founder of the group and the owner of team manager Tenner And Associates. Although the Queen Of Hearts has yet to announce its roster for the upcoming season or what form its donation may take, it is offering one lucky lady the opportunity to join the team. The overall winner of four $100 buy-in tournaments dubbed the Queens Of Hearts League being held at Harrah’s in Las Vegas will earn a prestigious seat on the team at this year’s WSOP. In addition to their place, the winner will also join in a luncheon with WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack on the Saturday before the event kicks off. “We are looking into different options to make the Queens Of Hearts more inclusive versus exclusive as it has been,” said Pollack. “We are looking into ways that every woman can take part in it.” “We will have a charitable component to the ladies event, which will tie to our community partner, the Nevada Cancer Institute,” said Seth Palansky, Communications Director for the WSOP.
