Mangas Continues Expansion

France’s Mangas Gaming SAS has signed an agreement to purchase a controlling stake in Malta-licensed online sportsbook operator Bet-At-Home.com AG from founders Franz Omer and Jochen Dickinger. Austria-based Bet-At-Home.com AG is one of Europe’s leading online gaming and betting companies offering Internet sports wagering alongside casino games and poker with a strong market position in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. In order to acquire the stakes held by the minority shareholders, Mangas revealed that it would also launch a public offer, which would be subject to certain conditions including regulatory approvals. This will see Mangas offer €11.2 per Bet-At-Home.com AG share until April 7, which its stated represented a premium of 29 percent over the one-month average as of last week and 63 percent over the three-month average. 'After the acquisition of Betclic in 2008 and the recent announcement of the acquisition of Expekt, one of the leading online betting and gaming companies in Scandinavia, this transaction perfectly complements Mangas Gaming’s strategy of creating a strong European-wide network of online sportsbetting and gaming operations,' said Isabelle Parize, Chief Executive Officer for Mangas. 'We are happy to welcome Mangas Gaming as a shareholder of Bet-At-Home.com AG, which gives Bet-At-Home.com AG the opportunity to join one of the leading online gaming and betting networks in Europe,” read a statement from Omer and Dickinger, Co-Managing Directors for Bet-At-Home.com AG. “We also appreciate that the shareholders of Bet-At-Home.com AG are given the opportunity to sell their shares to Mangas Gaming.'
