World Poker Congress Set For Porto

Show organisers Clarion Gaming has announced that the fourth annual World Poker Congress taking place in Porto, Portugal, in June will feature some of the industry’s most respected experts speaking on a wide range of topics. The World Poker Congress is being sponsored by leading online poker room ChiliPoker.com and is scheduled to take place on June 24 and 25 at the Sheraton Porto Hotel And Spa. 'The World Poker Congress is simply not like other conferences,” said Steve Lipscomb, Chief Executive Officer for World Poker Tour Enterprises. “In attendance are the decision makers from the most exciting companies in the poker arena and they are there to do business. Online sites find casino partners in emerging territories and everyone is remarkably open to sharing industry perspective.” The first day of the show will get underway at nine o’clock in the morning with opening remarks by Dawn Kirkwood from Clarion Gaming before David Carrion from Spain’s Cirsa offers his perspective on the Latin American market. The show will then split into live and online breakout sessions punctuated with lunch and refreshment breaks before concluding with an overview of the Eastern European market. The second day of the show will also include breakout sessions alongside an assembly entitled Paying Your Winners with Paul Davis from Chexx IOM.
