One online poker regular is especially happy this week after winning the $25,000 top prize at the Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed tournament held by leading site BodogLife.com.
Despite having a buy-in of $109, the online tournament saw only 513 players take their shot before competitor ‘jjjj’ walked away as the ultimate winner. BodogLife.com provided one of its overlays to reach the posted guarantee, which saw each player's buy-in immediately become worth, in effect, a little more than $194 once the cards hit the virtual felt.
BodogLife.com revealed that ‘jjjj’ has won several smaller tournaments over the past two years but that this was his biggest payday. However, ‘jjjj’ is no stranger to the final table of the $100,000 Guaranteed after finishing in third spot for $9,000 not long after beginning to play online.
The online poker room awards more than five million dollars every month in cash prizes and stated that player 'Ozone23’ finished as Sunday’s runner-up to take home $15,000. Online competitor ‘Yetti Man’ crashed out in third spot to take home $9,500 followed by ‘King Silas’ in fourth for $7,000 and ‘iLLNuGWichee’ in fifth for $5,500. Rounding out the final table, 'gatti21' held down sixth for $4,500 followed by ‘MassageGirl’ in seventh for $3,500, ‘Kirk50’ in eighth for $2,200 and 'Purpl3Haze' in ninth for $1,700.
