Tuesday 5th May 2009 Feldman Joins Team FullTilt
Leading online poker site FullTiltPoker.com has announced the addition of Englishman Andrew Feldman to its Team FullTilt squad of professional sponsored players.
The London native has joined Team FullTilt as a ‘red pro’ alongside recent addition Michael Tureniec from Sweden and will compete online at FullTiltPoker.com in addition to serving as a brand ambassador. Other notable members of Team FullTilt include Jens Voertmann, Mike Matusow, Sigi Stockinger, Chris Ferguson, Claudio Rinaldi, Phil Ivey, Soren Kongsgaard, Howard Lederer, Nikolay Evdakov, Trond Erik Eidsvig and Alessio Isaia.
Feldman began playing poker while studying Media, English And Economics and started with live sit and go tournaments before switching to low-stake ring games as his confidence increased. He soon increased his bankroll by working up the levels, specialising in short-handed ring games until his buy-ins averaged £1,000.
In 2007, he completed his studies and decided to play poker full time before winning the UK Open IV for $200,000. He was also the biggest cash winner on the current series of The Poker Den and now has career tournament earnings in excess of $320,000.
'I'm totally thrilled to sign with FullTiltPoker.com as a ‘red pro’,' said Feldman.
'In many ways it's a dream come true. It has the best software and strongest team of players, so I hope I can do them and myself proud.'
'Andrew is a phenomenal natural talent and it's not surprising that he has signed with the best in the business,” said Nick Ferro from Check-Raise Management, Feldman’s representative.
“He's still young, so expect much more from him as he develops over the coming years. The prospects are, quite frankly, frightening.'
