Five New Deals For The Poker Channel

Europe’s largest dedicated gaming television network, The Poker Channel, has announced that it will soon reach approximately 17 million additional cable and satellite homes in 20 markets after agreeing five new distribution agreements. The Poker Channel will now be available in Cyprus on CableNet and in Croatia on Bnet for the first time and will expand on new platforms in Germany on Kabelkiosk, Poland via UPC and Portugal through Clix. In response to viewer demand, The Poker Channel has also announced that it has begun airing its first live horseracing coverage in all of its markets with the exception of the UK and Ireland. The coverage is broadcast for one hour every evening from a selection of leading US racetracks including Philadelphia Park, Hawthorne and Tampa Bay. The horseracing programme features studio commentary, betting tips and form guides from professionals, jockeys and trainers alongside additional information on how to bet at PokerChannelEurope.com. “We’re delighted to announce these new distribution agreements as we increase our investment in new programming,” said Chris White, Managing Director for The Poker Channel. “After poker, sportsbetting often tops the list of what our viewers want so we’re pleased to be able to offer live racing coverage at their request.” The Poker Channel attracts almost one million unique television viewers per month and also broadcasts online to a global audience alongside exclusive virtual promotions, videos and news.
