The Poker Channel Expands Again

Europe’s largest dedicated gaming television network, The Poker Channel, has announced new distribution agreements in Europe and the launch of live horseracing coverage. For the first time ever, The Poker Channel is now available in Cyprus on CableNet and in Croatia on Bnet and will soon expand on new platforms in Germany on Kabelkiosk, Poland via UPC and Portugal through Clix. These new distribution agreements will see The Poker Channel reach an additional 17 million cable and satellite homes in 20 European markets. In response to viewer demand, The Poker Channel has also begun airing its first live horseracing coverage in all of its markets with the exception of the UK and Ireland. The coverage is broadcast for one hour every evening from a selection of leading US racetracks including Philadelphia Park, Hawthorne and Tampa Bay. The horseracing programme features studio commentary, betting tips and form guides from professionals, jockeys and trainers alongside additional information on how to bet at PokerChannelEurope.com. “We’re delighted to announce these new distribution agreements as we increase our investment in new programming,” said Chris White, Managing Director for The Poker Channel. “After poker, sportsbetting often tops the list of what our viewers want so we’re pleased to be able to offer live racing coverage at their request.”
