Leisure And Gaming Expectations Being Met

London-based online betting and gaming operator Leisure And Gaming has stated that trading for the second quarter of 2009 is in line with expectations following its record first quarter. From the beginning of April to May 25, Leisure And Gaming revealed that the amount wagered on sports including horses came in at €12.4 million and generated a net win of €2.8 million. It also stated that the amount played on its casino products and skill games amounted to €6.6 million, generating a net win of €200,000, while poker generated €7.4 million in tournament fees with rake of €1.2 million. Leisure And Gaming revealed that its activities saw it make approximately one million Euros in profit for the period. “With the soccer season now completed, the results demonstrate a solid second quarter,” said Richard Creed, Chief Executive Officer for Leisure And Gaming. “I am pleased that the company has continued to perform well and we look forward to a busy summer in preparation for next season. “In addition, we have an excellent programme of poker tournaments on offer to our customers and as we enter the traditionally quieter summer months. It will be interesting to see if the poker activity levels are maintained.” In April, Leisure And Gaming announced a 33 percent year-on-year rise for the first quarter in gross profits to €2.8 million.
