Next up from March 20 to 24 is a new stop for the eighth season, the inaugural Hollywood Poker Open from Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The casino sits on the Ohio River and, in addition to the $10,000 main event, will also host three non-televised WPT events with buy-ins ranging from $3,000 to $5,000. Season eight will finish back at the Bellagio for the WPT World Championship, which is scheduled to have a buy-in of $25,500. “As this great game has evolved over the years, we have seen the WPT grow and develop into something truly incredible,” said Steve Lipscomb, Chief Executive Officer for the WPT. “Each year seems to top the last; from stops in exciting new venues, to historical moments, to break-out players, to unbelievable action. We’re looking forward to seeing what the eighth season brings then watching it broadcast in high definition.”
