Jamie Gold To Host Special Tournament At Poker In The Park

Leading poker publication Bluff Europe has revealed that its third annual Poker In The Park festival next month will feature a charity tournament organised by top American pro Jamie Gold. The Jamie Gold Charity Poker Tournament will take place on August 13 from half-past seven o’clock in the evening from the Shadow Lounge of The Casino At The Empire and be co-hosted by last year’s World Series Of Poker champion Peter Eastgate. The event will be a 50-player no-limit Texas hold’em freezeout tournament with starting stacks of 6,000 chips. Forty seats will be available priced at �500 each while the other ten will be reserved for poker pros and celebrities personally invited by Gold and Eastgate. Although the cash buy-ins are to be donated to the Jamie Gold Foundation, a seat to the London European Poker Tour’s main event in October worth �5,200 will be awarded to the winner. In addition, Bluff Europe is donating one-on-one strategy training worth �3,000 via TheMavenVT.com to the runner-up while a Gevril watch, which is favoured by top celebrities including James Caan and Denzel Washington, worth �1,500 will go to the third placed finisher. Europe’s largest annual poker festival, Poker In The Park will take place from five o’clock in the afternoon until half-past nine in the evening on August 13 from the heart of London’s Leicester Square. The action will also carry on over August 14 from noon until half-past nine in the evening. On August 13, Gold and Eastgate are due to give a lecture specifically covering the strategies needed to win small tournaments of less than 100 runners before a follow-up event the next day featuring stories and references from the earlier evening’s charity competition.
