Thursday 23rd July 2009 G2 Bingo Goes Live With PayPal
Leading American gaming technology and services firm GTech Corporation has announced that its G2 subsidiary has signed a deal with global electronic money transfer service PayPal for its UK-facing bingo partners.
G2 is GTech’s new subsidiary comprising its Boss Media, Finsoft, St Minver and Dynamite Idea businesses. It provides online lottery, sportsbetting, interactive poker and bingo operators with a full range of solutions including e-commerce marketing, player relationship and risk management alongside fraud prevention, responsible gaming and community functions.
The deal with PayPal will see G2’s UK bingo partners able to offer players the ability to transfer funds online quickly and cost effectively starting with ChitChatBingo.co.uk while other sites such as Littlewoods, Yahoo, Ann Summers, BingoJoy, InterBingo and MetroBingo are scheduled to go live next month.
“We are very excited about being able to offer our UK bingo partners the comfort, ease and security that comes with using the PayPal service,” said Johan Berg, Chief Operating Officer for G2.
“This is a great opportunity for us as our worldwide lottery and gaming industry expertise is now coupled with the world’s leading e-wallet solution in PayPal. We are always looking at ways to serve our bingo licensees better and this latest deal will further enhance our already very high level of core capabilities in this high-growth area.”
PayPal is the best-known e-wallet solution in the UK and is used primarily to facilitate buying and selling on the eBay online auction site. It allows any consumer with an e-mail address to send and receive payments online and is used by over 23 million customers in the UK.
