Thursday 25th February 2010 Glamorous launch for VictoryPoker.com
A glamorous party at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel And Casino held earlier this month saw celebrities and professional poker players turn out to help celebrate the launch of a new online casino at VictoryPoker.com.
Highlights of the red carpet event for the Malta-licensed site included 30 pounds of various confections for visitors to enjoy alongside an open bar and an impromptu photo shoot with Sara Jean Underwood, Playboy magazine’s Playmate Of The Year 2007.
The venue’s Vanity Nightclub also saw professional poker player Antonio ‘The Magician’ Esfandiari from Team Victory in attendance alongside compatriots Lee Markholt and Dan ‘Blitz’ Bilzerian. These were joined by high-stakes guest Andrew Robl, young cash games specialist Keith Gipson, former World Series Of Poker champion Paul Wasicka, backgammon and poker pro Sander Lyloff, David Chicotsky from The MavenVT.com, Brian Rast, Alec Torelli and Chinese poker wizard Danny Wong.
“I believe VictoryPoker.com brings the true essence of the game to the player and, through our A-list poker Team, I hope to achieve this,” said Dan Fleyshman, Chief Executive Officer for VictoryPoker.com and the youngest owner of a publicly traded company in the Who’s Your Daddy energy drink.
“Team Victory includes celebs, Playmates and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighters and they will not only be playing on the site regularly, they will be getting involved with a lot of cool mainstream events.”
Team Victory’s first official event was the Trash Talk Championship Of The World as it joined dozens of Hollywood, sports and poker celebrities over the weekend of Super Bowl XLIV to raise more than $30,000 for the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai. The no-limit hold’em tournament was eventually won by Real World’s Trishelle Cannatella and she took home a custom designed crystal trophy and a seat to the upcoming World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational sponsored by ClubWPT.com. The Playboy model and reality television star also donated a large portion of her winnings back to the charity.
“It's an amazing feeling to be a part of a project from its inception and to share those experiences with your closest friends is in itself something that cannot be explained,” said Esfandiari.
