Obrestad scheduled for next Poker Academy

Leading poker magazine Bluff Europe has announced that the latest edition of its Poker Academy public lecture tour will see Annette Obrestad attempt to recreate her famous ‘no-peeking’ online tournament win. The next event in the series is scheduled to begin on May 8 at the Grosvenor Casino London Victoria and will see 21-year-old Obrestad attempt to reenact her famous feat of winning an online tournament without looking at her cards. The latest edition of the series is being held in conjunction with online poker room BlackBeltPoker.com and will also feature insights from top professional players including Neil Channing and Nik Persaud on topics as divergent as variance and bankroll management, analysing flop textures and visualising range equity calculations. Tickets for the event start from �600 and are available from BluffEurope.com/PokerAcademy while the two-day seminar will also see live one-on-one hand analysis and thousands of dollars in prizes up for grabs including one package to the forthcoming World Series Of Poker in Las Vegas. For those not wanting to pay the registration fee, there will be a satellite competition at the Grosvenor Casino London Victoria from 8.45pm local time on May 4. Featuring a buy-in of �36, there will be one guaranteed seat into the Poker Academy alongside an additional place for every �600 generated for the prize pool.
