After tantalising players for several weeks, innovative online slots and video poker site Slotland.com has announced that its latest progressive jackpot of over $163,000 was hit late last week by a player enjoying its Golden 8 slot.
A competitor using the pseudonym ‘YUKON’ who had only been playing for a little over a year pocketed $163,476 courtesy of its progressive jackpot.
'Of course you always hope you’re going to win a big one someday,” said ‘YUKON’.
“After all, that’s why we play. But, I honestly never really expected something like this to happen to me. Even when I saw it on my screen I could hardly believe it. It wasn’t until the customer service representative from Slotland.com contacted me that it really started to sink in.” ‘YUKON’ plans to use his winnings to pay off some debts and go on holiday ‘someplace sunny and warm’.
Slotland.com features 15 one-of-a-kind slot and video poker games with its progressive jackpot normally won every six to eight weeks by the time it reaches $150,000. The last six-figure payout came in early February.
Last year, the site paid out nearly $800,000 in progressive jackpot wins with this most current the second for its Golden 8 slot. Slotland.com revealed that its Treasure Box game has produced three winners over the past few years while two players have struck it rich courtesy of its Jacks Or Better video poker slot game.
