Online Poker player wins over $250,000

PartyPoker has announced that the largest Progressive Bad Beat Poker Jackpot hit the record sum of $739,621 with one player winning over $250,000.

As celebration, PartyPoker is offering Bad Beat Jackpots. These are progressive jackpots that are paid out whenever a bad beat occurs. A bad beat on the PartyPoker platform is whenever four 8's or better loses to a bigger hand. Keep in mind, you must play both hole cards for the jackpot to be paid out. The loser of the hand receives 50%, the winner of the hand receives 25% and the remaining 25% is split amongst the rest of the players on the table. Please note that these amounts are after the 10% administrative fee and 20% seed money fee for the next jackpot.
