First online gambling company to receive a US trademark

Bodog.com has announced that it has become an officially licensed trademark in the United States of America. It is the first online gambling company to receive a US trademark.

'We have been building a solid mainstream brand over the previous years, and this is a culmination of many people�s efforts to aid this process,� said Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com Sports Casino Poker. �With the rapid growth of poker, online gambling has been moving to a much more mainstream entity, as opposed to being taboo, and we saw this as a key opportunity to trademark our brand.�
