Thursday 14th April 2005 Leading Online Sportsbook Partners Up With LA Lakers
Bodog.com, possibly the largest brand in online poker, gaming and entertainment, has announced that it is to become the first online entertainment brand to sponsor a charity event with a major US professional sports team inside the United States.
Bodog.com is sponsoring a Celebrity Poker Shootout at the 2nd Annual Treasure Island-Las Vegas Casino Night benefiting the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation. The event will take place Thursday, April 14th at the Barker Hanger at the Santa Monica Airport.
Numerous celebrity poker aficionados including honorary Casino Queen Marge Hearn, members of the Lakers squad, Debra Messing, Chris, Danny and Jordan Masterson, Donovan Leitch, Gabrielle Union, and many more will be among the 1200 celebrities, socialites, tastemakers and Lakers fans making donations to attend and play.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Bodog.com Celebrity Poker Shootout will benefit the LA Lakers Youth Foundation. During the fundraiser, guests can learn how to play poker at the ‘Bodog.com Online Poker Training Camp’ where the sexy Bodog Girls will be giving free poker lessons.
