Sports911.com Identifies Key Events in Huge Betting Month

Online bookmaker, Sports911 is predicting that the May 14 Light Middleweight fight between Trinidad and Wright should pack quite a punch during a month that includes The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness and Indianapolis 500. The month of May promises to be relatively exciting in the world of sports betting despite the absence of American football and NCAA basketball.

Sports911.com has reported steadily increasing traffic during the first week in May, with a noticeably huge influx the day of the Kentucky Derby. Despite a two week hiatus on marquee horse racing events, Sport911 believe that the much ballyhooed boxing match between Felix Trinidad and Ronald 'Winky' Wright should give way to another mild betting spurt.

'This past Saturday's Kentucky Derby helped drive significant business to the Sports911.com web site,' stated Thomas Jensen, Marketing Director for Sports911, 'If this is any indication of what the rest of May holds, I think we could be looking at the perfect cure for what used to be the summer doldrums.'

In years past, horse racing platforms were rare for the online gambling sites, which left most sports book operators spending the month of May planning out their football season marketing budget - but times have changed.

'The final figures had Bodog.com taking in between $800,000 and $900,000 in handle on the Kentucky Derby,' stated Rob Gillespie, President of www.bodog.com, 'We had over 1000 new signups just today alone.”

Another horse race commences on May 21 with the Preakness, expected to generate more betting interests after Giacomo's long shot victory demonstrated the potential for a cash windfall. Giacomo paid $50 for every $1 bet or $5000 for every $100 bet.

Though a substantial jump in traffic is not anticipated, Sports911 is expecting exceptional conversion rates for those bookmakers taking action on Trinidad's triumphant return to boxing.
