IGC Participates in GIGSE 05

�GIGSE is always the main event on the annual interactive gaming calendar,' said Rick Smith, executive director of the IGC. 'But this year, attendance is even more critical for any company that has anything to do with our segment of the gaming world. Passage of the UK Gambling Act 2005 in April this year was a tremendous step for regulated interactive gaming. That, coupled with the final ruling of the World Trade Organization on Antigua's complaint against the U.S., means that there is much recent news to digest and analyze. We'll be hearing from experts on both subjects.'

The conference will also feature panels discussing online poker, betting exchanges, skill games and mobile betting. And there will be nuts-and-bolts sessions on payment systems, DDOS attacks, marketing and branding strategies.

'All of this worldwide activity, positive or otherwise, makes membership in the IGC all the more compelling,' Smith added. 'At our booth next week, I know I'll be seeing representatives of many companies that are newly involved in interactive gaming.'
