Monday 18th July 2005 Full Tilt Poker’s Mike Matusow Finishes 9th at WSOP
Poker veteran Mike Matusow turned in a gutsy and often-times brilliant performance before finally finishing 9th at the World Series of Poker Main Event.
Matusow, long known as one of the game’s most outspoken and aggressive players, bested 5,610 players in the record field of 5,619 before finally running out of chips at the final table. Matusow’s performance earned him a total of $1 million, and continued the string of dominating performances turned in by representatives of www.FullTiltPoker.com throughout the 2005 World Series of Poker.
“Mike Matusow has made Full Tilt Poker proud as he was the last big name pro standing in the largest poker tournament in history” said Raymond Bitar, CEO of TiltWare, LLC.
Throughout the WSOP’s 34 open preliminary events, the online poker site’s 27 professional representatives won four tournament bracelets and earned a total of $4,223,616 or an amazing 8.6% of the total $48,871,048 prize pool. In the Main Event, Full Tilt Poker’s players collected a total of $1,686,945 of the $52,818,610 prize pool.
