Online Casino Promoter Reports Big Profits

Online casino promoter, Empire Online has posted details of a massive rise in its profits for the first half of the financial year, anticipating that 2005 will be �a landmark year�. The company is also planning to acquire further businesses in the coming months.

The promoter, whose customers include PartyGaming and 888.com disclosed that it made record profits of �14.4 million in the first six months of 2005, a rise of over 87 per cent. The company attributed its soaring revenues to the rising interest in online gambling, prompting the firm to buy out two online gaming sites, Club Dice and Noble Poker.

The popularity of televised events such as All Star Poker Challenge have been accredited with fuelling the demand for online casinos, Empire Online has noted a rise in its customer to a staggering 126,507. The industry as a whole is forecasting rises in the region of 40 per cent per year in the next few years to over �3 billion by 2009.
