Online Casino 888 on the Rise

One of the world’s leading online casino sites, 888.com, has reported an increase of 56 per cent in the third quarter, despite recent rumours by leading poker competitor, PartyGaming that the online gambling industry is slowing down.

888.com has said that gaming revenue for the three month period has seen profits rise to $70 million, plus a leap of 178 per cent to $29.5 million from poker alone.

Each active player on 888.com contributed an extra $129 to the profit growth, an increase of 19 per cent from the second quarter.

PartyGaming’s CEO John Anderson has since admitted his concerns for the poker industry slowing down were relevant only to his company, not across the poker industry.
