New Technology Boosts Online Casinos

2005 saw the Internet and television facilitate a poker explosion outside of its US homeland. 2006 promises to see this continue according to chief executive Richard Segal.

‘The beauty of it all is that we've invented nothing new. We're just taking games that have been around for decades and putting them in people's homes.’

Three big London stock market flotations generated revenues of around $2 billion for the industry.

PartyGaming takes about half of that $2 billion pot and is assessing acquisitions and everything from mobile phones to interactive television to access more players.

Plans to launch the new PartyCasino are in place as well as two new games and a 'shared purse', which will help players switch from game to game.

PartyGaming also plans to launch its games in six new currencies and languages.
