Girl Power: Female Poker Player Goes All-In

‘Girls can’t play poker!’ or so Deanna Goodson has been told by almost everyone in her life since she first fell in love with the game. Nevertheless, and much to the dismay of her family, Goodson has turned her fascination with poker into becoming a successful professional poker player.

Goodson the editor of Chicksnchips, a poker site for ladies who play poker, has played the game for the last twenty years and aspires to win not only a WPT (World Poker Tour) tournament, but also a WSOP (World Series of Poker) bracelet, and the WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) within the next several years.

Goodsen is now endeavouring to change the perception that ladies aren’t good players. To prove her point, she has thrown down the poker gauntlet to anyone, male or female, to take play her online in low-stakes tables or buy-in tournaments at a venue of her choosing.
