Monday 23rd January 2006 iGaming veterans launch new website security service
Two stalwarts of the online gaming industry, Alan Weinrib and Brian Fogarty, have joined forces with IT security specialists EuroKom to provide a unique website security service — Gamsecure.
Brian Fogarty
Brian Fogarty began his career in the betting industry in 1973 as a partner in the family-run JB Fogarty bookmaking business. He is a past Chairman of the Irish National Bookmakers Association and the Racing Industries Joint Committee, and a founder of Paddy Power bookmakers, Ireland's largest operators, with betting offices, telephone betting services and online gaming operations.
Brian also has experience in the software industry, having formed Computer Control Solutions to develop and sell OutTrak — the On-Truck Computerised (OTC) solution for distribution — and established OutTrak as the most successful OTC solution for the fuel industry in the U.K. and Ireland.
In 2004 Brian formed The Web Gaming Consultants with Alan Weinrib, which has successfully provided consultancy services to a range of companies for internet betting options as well as new sources of revenue such as online casino, bingo, and poker.

Alan Weinrib, who was famously dubbed 'Big Al' by Roxy Roxborough, one of the biggest names in sports journalism in the US, started in the gambling business in 1980 when he formed the 'Playmate Racing' chain of betting shops. Alan was also involved in other betting shop ventures until 1997, when he sold his bookmaking interests to help set up 'Easybets', one of the web's first fully interactive betting sites.
Due to his reputation in the betting industry both in Europe and the US, Alan headed the new company as President and Sports Director. In his three years with Easybets, Alan helped increase turnover to $150m. In October 2001 he was appointed Director of the NASDAQ-quoted Sungold Entertainment. He has also consulted for companies such as Nerex.com and SportsSpread.com.
In 2004 Alan formed The Web Gaming Consultants with Brian Fogarty, a former PM Racing partner, to pursue online gaming and betting consultancy opportunities.
