English Harbour New Ventures has announced that they will match donations made from their players who would like to contribute to the tsunami relief efforts. English Harbour New Ventures will donate all funds directly to CARE USA. All donations will be earmarked to go directly to those most affected by one of the worst natural disasters in living memory.
'Major natural disasters affect us all either directly or indirectly. As caring members of the global community, English Harbour New Ventures feels obligated to make a contribution to the Tsunami relief efforts,' said a spokesperson for the company. 'The entire World has been effected and we believe it is the entire World's responsibility to respond. We call on our customers to give generously and will match on a one-to-one basis all donations made.'
With more than 3.5 million customers worldwide, English Harbour New Ventures is hoping to raise a generous contribution on behalf of CARE USA.
'CARE USA is one of the world's largest private humanitarian organizations and is committed to helping people in the affected communities improve their lives', said the spokesperson. 'With sixty years experience in distributing supplies in times of need and with CARE USA staff on the ground in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Somalia, we are confident that our own contribution and that of our player's will assist CARE USA with their immediate relief efforts as the organization assesses the longer-term needs of the region'.
